How did you do?

If you found 5 or more unique (different) food items with more than 3 grams of fiber per serving, congratulations. You will find it easy to get the recommended intake of 25 to 25 grams a day. Dried beans and peas are especially high, with 6 to 8 grams per serving.

If you found less than 5 unique food items with less than 3 grams per day, you've got some work to do. Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain cereals, and dried beans and peas.

Here are some important fiber sources to help you along.

Oats

Dried beans

Spinach

Prunes

Whole grains

Lettuce

Mangoes

Nuts

Corn on the cob

Avocado

Seeds

Sweet Potato
